Hey, we’re Kunal and Harshit, two guys in our early 20s, just trying to figure life out as we go.
We’re first cousins, but it’s never felt like there was an older one and a younger one. We’ve spent our entire childhood together, growing up side by side. If one of us liked something, it felt natural and almost automatic for the other to follow.
We’ve always been drawn to fashion and the hip-hop scene in the West— from keeping up with streetwear trends to watching artists make it big, one after another. Without overthinking it too much, we just started.
At first, there was no plan. No roadmap, no big announcement. Just ideas we kept coming back to for eg., saving references, reworking thoughts, talking about what felt right and what didn’t.
Somewhere along the way, those conversations stopped being just conversations.
They became Mahal.
We didn’t start from a place of knowing everything. If anything, we had more questions than answers. But what we did have was a shared instinct; to build something honest, something personal, something we could truly stand behind.
And in many ways, we’re still just getting started.
